A New Road to Success

I have been in Canada for over 9 years, and for a long time I wasn’t sure what my future would look like. At my last job, I was working as an Operations Supervisor in a warehouse, but it was difficult to manage my expenses because the income was not enough. Over the past year, I struggled to find another supervisor position, and it became a very stressful time for me and my family.

That’s when I decided to visit WorkBC Centre Whalley. From the moment I connected with their team, things started to change. I attended several workshops that helped me understand my options and guided me toward a better path for my future. The support and encouragement I received gave me hope during a time when I was feeling very uncertain.

My employment counsellor played a very important role in my journey. They supported me throughout the process and truly believed in my potential. With their help and the WorkBC Centre Whalley team, I was able to get my Class 1 driver’s license, something I never thought I could achieve on my own because of the financial cost.

Today, I am proud to say that I have started a new career as a Class 1 truck driver. This opportunity has changed my life. I can now earn a better income, support my family, and feel confident about my future.

This journey has taught me that sometimes all you need is the right support and someone who believes in you. I am truly grateful to WorkBC Whalley and my employment counsellor for helping me rebuild my confidence and giving me the opportunity to create a better life for my family.
